In Spain there are a large number of museums where you can live extraordinary experiences related to art, culture and everything related to the ancient world, which allow us to nourish ourselves with knowledge.

Museums in Madrid
If your stop is Madrid, you can visit the following museums:
Museo Nacional del Prado
It is one of the most visited museums in the world and in 2019 it celebrated its 200th anniversary full of history and art. It is made up of more than 8 thousand works coming (mostly) from collections of the royal family and made up of artists such as El Bosco, Titian, Goya, Velázquez, Van Eyck and Rubens.
In this museum, the original work known as Las Meninas can be seen.
Reina Sofia Museum
This is a museum that was built on the foundations of an old hospital, to be a completely contemporary building with some tints of classicism.
Here you can see works by Picasso, Dalí, Rusiñol, Mirón, Juan Gris and international artists such as Kandinsky.
National Museum of Decorative Arts
In this museum you can find decorative objects of all kinds and from very ancient times to the most contemporary, including glass, furniture, carpets, toys, tapestries and others.
There is also an extraordinary collection from the Western Ming and Qing dynasties.
Firemen’s Museum of Madrid
This museum, inaugurated in 1982, shows all the pieces and machinery that have been used by the different fire brigades throughout their history, which leads to know and experience the history of Madrid.
This museum also includes interactive sectors and virtual recreation to promote fire prevention, its causes and consequences.
Museums in Catalonia
Now, if you are in Catalonia, the list is also extensive, but some of the museums that you cannot miss are:
National Art Museum of Catalonia
This is perhaps the most outstanding museum in Catalonia, both for its artistic displays, as well as for its impressive architecture and the views of the landscape from its terraces.
Here you can find pieces of Romanesque, Gothic, Romantic and contemporary art, among many others.
Dalí Theatre-Museum
Inaugurated in 1974, this theatre-museum was designed by Dalí himself, in which his entire artistic career is projected and of course many of his works are included, including the famous «Galatea de les Esferes».
Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art
Behind the University of Catalonia is this modern museum, which stands out for its spaciousness and white façade. Here you can appreciate the praiseworthy works of artists of more recent times and you can also enjoy courses, workshops and reading circles.
Museums in Seville
Tradition, faith, history and modernity are some of the things you can find in the museums of Seville. Here are some of the most interesting ones:
Seville Museum of Fine Arts
Along with the Prado Museum, it is perhaps one of the most interesting museums in Spain. It stands out for its baroque art and religious expressions.
Some of the artists whose works are exhibited there are Goya, El Greco, Velázquez, Murillo and Zurbarán.
Provincial Archaeological Museum
In this museum there are 30 rooms exhibiting pieces of gold and silver work, jewellery and portraits of various Roman emperors. Here you can also see the mythical treasure of the Carambolo, associated with the Tartessos civilisation.
Seville Aquarium
This is an aquarium located in the famous Setas de Sevilla and is a great attraction of the city where you can appreciate more than 400 underwater species located in different ecosystems that represent the sites visited by the «historical expedition».

If you are living or visiting Malaga, you should visit some of the following museums:
Picasso Museum
In the centre of the city and referring to the origins of Picasso, is located this museum where you can appreciate a total of 155 works of the artist, from his beginnings to his last expressions of art.
Centre Pompidou Malaga
Inaugurated in 2015, it is located in a space known as El Cubo and has an extensive collection representative of 20th and 21st century art. In addition, this museum exhibits two to three temporary collections each year, making visits more interesting.
