The Argentine Residence Hall “Our Lady of Luján” - CMA - is a University Residence belonging to the Ministry of Education of the Argentine Republic. It is attached to the Complutense University and located in the University City of Madrid, Spain.
The CMA provides accommodation with full board/maintenance to Argentine citizens, and other nationalities, who carry out activities in Spanish institutions: master's degrees, doctorates, research, internships, competitive examinations, teaching, artistic, sports, exchange, cooperation, etc. Likewise, it constitutes a center for the cultural, scientific and academic dissemination of Argentina in Spain.
Researchers, teachers, professionals, artists and athletes of different nationalities find in the CMA a space that promotes coexistence and exchange.
The Argentine State has two student residences abroad: the Colegio Mayor Argentino, in the city of Madrid, Spain and the Casa Argentina - Maison de l'Argentine - in the city of Paris, France, both dependent on the Ministry of Education.
The name Colegio Mayor is the term that in Spain refers since the 16th century to student residences, mostly university ones where, in addition to accommodation, cultural, academic or sports activities are offered. The residence halls do not carry out teaching activities.
