Colegio Mayor Juan Luis Vives

In a quiet residential environment in the north of Madrid, the “Juan Luis Vives” University Residence Hall welcomes students and teachers from all corners of the national and international geography. Its proximity to the Plaza de Castilla and the Chamartín Station, which make up one of the main transport interchanges that structure the city, make it the ideal place to stay for all those students who have chosen Madrid universities to study, especially the Autonomous University of Madrid.

We are a mixed, public and secular university center, belonging to the Autonomous University of Madrid. In addition to offering quality accommodation, we encourage the acquisition of values that complement the academic training received in the classrooms through coexistence, tolerance, solidarity, study and responsible participation. We are based on the principles of freedom, justice and equality within pluralism, to try to ensure that in the future our students are good professionals and better people.

Like the rest of the Residence Halls, we have been part of the Spanish educational system since the origin of the University itself. We are at your service, contributing to the training of thousands of university students. The “Juan Luis Vives” Residence Hall feels like guarantor of this legacy, seeking to maintain and expand the proposal of comprehensive training, education in values and professional development that we provide from the center. Being a student at our center is living the university stage more deeply.

The School opened its doors in 1951 to welcome primary education students. In the second half of the sixties, when the building was incorporated into MUFACE, it became a Residence Hall. Since 1991, the Center has been part of the Accommodation Service of the Autonomous University of Madrid.
