The Universitat Oberta de Catalunya is a distance university born in 1995 committed to the social transformation value of education and culture. The UOC promotes creativity, innovation, cooperation and exchange between its university community, the rest of the universities, institutions, the business community and Catalan civil society.
The primary objective of the UOC is that each person can satisfy their learning needs with maximum access to knowledge. For this purpose, the University intensively uses information and communication technologies (ICT) and offers an educational model based on personalization and permanent support of the student, beyond of the limitations of time and space.
