The European Institute of Design (European Institute of Design) opened its headquarters in the city of Barcelona in 2002 and is one of the main design training centers, which has outstanding international recognition. It is also the most international and multicultural education center in Spain and approximately a third of the courses are taught in English.
It offers everything from Official Higher Degrees in Design, Bachelors of Arts (Honours) awarded by the University of Westminster, IED Diplomas, Masters, Continuing Training Programs and Courses, in the areas of Fashion, Design, Visual Communication and Management for Creative Industries.
The building where teaching takes place integrates the keys to Design For All, with the aim of encouraging creative experimentation and dialogue between students and disciplines.
The connection that the center has with the world of work is another aspect that defines IED Barcelona. Proactivity between the academic world and the world of work is key in creating opportunities, which is why students make real proposals with all types of companies and institutions.
The school encourages a new methodology applied to design training capable of adapting to constant changes, and transforming them into useful training content so that students know how to respond to the current labor market.
